This Privacy Policy describes how JustCountUF processes personal data when you use the JustCount mobile application (the “App”). We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this policy.

JustCountUF is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Account information

  • name
  • username
  • email address
  • password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text)

3.2 Profile and settings

  • age or year of birth
  • gender, if provided
  • training goals and preferences
  • language, time zone, and other settings

3.3 Training and progress data

  • workouts, dates, and times
  • exercises, weights, repetitions, and sets
  • session duration, intensity, and rest
  • statistics and progress history shown in the App

3.4 Health and medical information

The App may process data that qualifies as health data under the GDPR. This is a special category of personal data and is protected with extra safeguards.

  • injuries and rehabilitation notes
  • pain, strain, and limitations you enter
  • other medical information you voluntarily add in relation to training

3.5 Technical information

  • device model, operating system, and app version
  • IP address and usage-related logs
  • crash logs and performance data

3.6 Communication

  • support cases, emails, and feedback
  • messages sent through forms or surveys related to the App

4. Why we process your data

4.1 Provide the service

4.4 Research and data sharing (with consent)

With your explicit consent, we may use training and health data for research purposes and share such data with research partners (e.g., universities or research institutes). Research data is handled with extra safeguards.

5. Sharing and recipients

We may share personal data with:

  • service providers that host or operate parts of the App (data processors)
  • research partners, only with your explicit consent
  • authorities, when required by law

We have agreements in place with processors to ensure GDPR-compliant handling.

6. International transfers

If personal data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional protections where needed.

7. Retention

  • Account data is stored while your account is active.
  • Training and health data is stored as needed to provide the service and show your history.
  • Logs and backups are kept for limited periods according to security routines.
  • If you request deletion, we delete or anonymize data unless legal obligations require retention.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • salted password hashing
  • restricted database access
  • encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • logging and monitoring for suspicious activity

9. Your rights

You have rights under the GDPR, including:

  • access to your data
  • rectification
  • erasure (in certain cases)
  • restriction of processing (in certain cases)
  • data portability (where applicable)
  • objecting to processing based on legitimate interest
  • withdrawing consent at any time (does not affect past processing)

10. Children

The App is intended for users aged 13 or older. If we discover an account created by a child under 13, we may remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
